LiveWallpaper Helper is the small Mac app that receives Apply to Mac links, downloads official MP4 assets, caches them, verifies them, and plays them as live wallpapers.

Package
The beta download is a .zip file containing LiveWallpaper Helper.app. Unzip it, move the app to Applications if preferred, then open it once before using Apply to Mac.
Beta signing
This beta is signed for testing but not notarized yet. If macOS blocks it, right-click Open or allow it in macOS System Settings when the security prompt appears.
Why Helper is needed
Browsers can preview and download MP4 files, but they cannot place video behind macOS desktop icons by themselves. LiveWallpaper Helper handles desktop playback.
Installation
Download the zip, unzip the app, open LiveWallpaper Helper, then return to a wallpaper detail page and click Apply to Mac.
Permissions
The Helper only needs the local permissions required for desktop playback. It does not need browser passwords or website accounts.
Privacy
The Helper downloads wallpaper files from livewallpaper.app, stores them in its local cache, and uses the official manifest to verify the selected MP4.
Uninstall
Quit the Helper, delete LiveWallpaper Helper.app, and remove cached wallpapers from the LiveWallpaper Application Support folder if you want full cleanup.
Troubleshooting
If Apply to Mac does nothing, install or reopen the Helper, then retry from the wallpaper page. The Helper's Check for Updates action opens /mac-helper/.
FAQ
Can livewallpaper.app apply a video wallpaper without an app? No. macOS desktop playback needs a local Helper.
